Alma Jane (Hatley) McMain


Alma
Jane McMain, 92, of Kansas City, MO passed away Tuesday, June 23, 2015.

 

She
was born on December 2, 1922 to Samuel Ole and Alma Mae (Collins) Hatley in
Peoria, Oklahoma and graduated from Stilwell High School.

 

On
May 3, 1942 she was united in marriage to Leonard D. McMain.
  They moved to California and in 1950 they
moved to Kansas City where they made their home.
  Later in life they resided in West Plains,
MO.
  Her husband, Leonard, passed away
February 10, 2006.
  Jane then returned to
their farm in Kansas City.
 

 

Jane
was a cook at Platte County School District for 17 years.
 

 

She
was a founding member of Tiffany Fellowship Assembly of God in Kansas City, MO
and later attended Christ Chapel in Platte City, MO.
  Jane loved to cook especially for her family,
working puzzles and crocheting.

 

Jane
was also preceded in death by her parents, one brother Ole and four sisters
Vivian, Mary Rose, Sally, and Betty; granddaughter Taira Byrn.

 

She
is survived by her children, Delmer L. McMain and wife Khae, Thailand, Jerry
McMain and wife Louise, Kirksville, MO, Mike McMain and wife Rosalee, Willard,
MO, Stan McMain and wife Jean, Trimble, MO, David McMain, Kansas City, MO and
Melanie and husband Dr. Rick Walker, Osage Beach, MO; fifteen grandchildren;
twenty-eight great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; brother Jim;
sisters Jessie, Hazel, Jean, and Hallie; several nieces and
  nephews other relatives and many friends.

 

Funeral
Service:
  11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 27th
at Christ Chapel in Platte City, MO.

Burial:  Terrace Park Cemetery, Kansas City, MO.

Visitation:  6:30-8:00 p.m. Friday at the church.

Donations
may be made to Thailand Outreach Ministry c/o Christ Chapel
