ALLIE M. WEST

Allie Mae West, 86, of Edgerton, Mo., passed away, Tuesday, April 19, 2005 at her home.

She was born on April 19, 1919 to Richard W. and Anna Belle (Shanks) Stallard near Dearborn, Mo., where she grew up and later graduated from Dearborn High School.

On January 30, 1937 she was united in marriage to Alonzo G. West. After their marriage they lived north of Edgerton where they farmed and made their home. Her husband, Alonzo, passed away April 28, 2000.

Allie Mae was a member of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Edgerton, where she was involved in Sunday School and Vacation Bible School. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, gardening and crafts.

She was also preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Betty Wilmott and infant, Anna Laverne.

Allie Mae is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Peggy and Erwin Zimmer, Gladstone, Mo., and son and daughter-in-law, Gordon and Jeanne West, Edgerton, Mo., three grandchildren, Kim Kerr, Mark West, and Stacey Gidman, three step-grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren, one brother, Richard D. Stallard, Gladstone, Mo., two sisters, Rosalie Harmer, Kansas City, Mo., and Virginia Law, Dekalb, Illinois, several nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Funeral Services: 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 21st at the Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Edgerton, Mo.
Burial: Ridgely Cemetery
Visitation: 6:30-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home in Edgerton.

Donations may be made to the Mt. Zion Baptist Church.
