Allen “Zeke” Clark

Allen “Zeke” Clark, 74 of Gower, MO passed away, Wednesday, December 18, 2013.

 

He was born on December 10, 1939 to George Elmer, Sr. and Leona Pearl (Moser) Clark in St. Joseph, MO.  Zeke grew up in Gower, MO and in 1958 graduated from Gower High School.  He then served his country in the US Air Guard.

 

On May 18, 1974 he was united in marriage to Jane Ownbey.  After their marriage they lived in Gower where they made their home. 

 

Zeke farmed with his father George and brother Elmer.  He later worked for Clay County Parks at the golf course in Smithville, MO and enjoyed driving for Randy Reed Dealership in St. Joseph, MO.  Zeke enjoyed fishing and loved being with his family and friends.

 

He was member of the Gower Christian Church.  He was a coach, player and later inducted into the Gower Old Timers Hall of Fame.

 

Zeke was preceded in death by his parents, grandson Hunter Matthew Jameson, step-great-grandson Kaden Jameson and brother George Elmer Clark, Jr.

 

He is survived by his wife Jane Clark; children Beth Jameson and husband Chris and Brian Clark and wife Gara; grandchildren, Hayden, Connor, and Tristin Jameson and Kylie and Kade Clark; step-grandson Zach Jameson; step-great-granddaughter Kailey Jameson; sister Erma Giddens and husband Curtis; sisters-in-law Nancy Clark and Judy Robertson and husband Dave; several nieces and nephews other relatives and many friends.

 

Funeral Service: 10:00 a.m. Saturday, December 21, 2013 at the Gower Christian Church AFC

Burial:  Allen Cemetery, Gower

Visitation:  6:00-8:30 p.m. Friday December 20th at the church.

Donations may be made to the church or the cemetery.
