Allen Ray “Bart” Bartlett

Allen Ray “Bart” Bartlett, 72 died peacefully at his Parkville home Monday October 24, 2016 at 6:05 am.

He was born in Natchez, Mississippi, raised in Ingalls Kansas where he graduated from Ingalls High School. 

Bart was a Marine veteran of the Vietnam War earning 2 Good Conduct Medals, National Defense Service Medal, a Vietnam Service Medal (w/3 stars) and a Vietnam Campaign medal (w/device 1960). He went on to work at Coca Cola and graduated “Sigma Cum Lade” from National College with a Bachelor’s Degree. He worked for Western Forms until opening his own business in 1981 with his wife Lucy Furman who survives him.  He worked at MHC Financial Services until his death.

Bart is survived by his loving wife Lucy Furman; two sons, Thad Bartlett (Jill), and Chad Bartlett (Debby); a grandson whom he raised, Dillon Phillips; three daughters, Michelle Phillips-Duncan (Ron), Lisa Furman-Burt (Ken), and Ginger Bryant (Walter); eight additional grandchildren, Chase Bartlett, Parker Bartlett, Hunter Hamilton, Sebastian Bartlett, Dane Phillips, Albert Sciara, Shelby Bryant, and Bailey Bryant.  

A private family gathering will be held in his honor.
