Alice and I were college roommates at Springfield MO; both of us had birthdays on March 9 and celebrated our birthdays together for 50 years. We went through the death of children at birth together – she and Bill their twins and Mike and I our son. Bill and Mike were in college at Warrensburg. Through Alice’s letters to Bill and his to her, sharing them together in college, he mentioned a Mike Weber. I told Alice I knew a Mike Weber, and Bill found out Mike had a car. Alice and Bill were engaged at that time. He suggested Mike drive him to Springfield and we double date for a homecoming. That happened and then they started making those Springfield trips every 2-3 weeks. Mike and I were married in June 1964 and Alice and Bill a year later in June 1965. God was there for us through many trials, joys, and blessings and we had a friendship many never experience. I will miss celebrating our birthdays together March 2022, Alice, and miss your sweet, beautiful self. Tears are flowing. Love you and will miss you more than you’ll ever know. Bill, I am so sorry, but thank you for bringing the 4 of us together.
