ALICE KLINE
Alice (Kelsey) Kline, 92, went to be with her Lord January 30, 2007 at her home in Agency, MO.
She was born on June 27, 1914 in St. Joseph, MO to Henry T. and Alice (Leeper) Kelsey. Alice attended school in Agency and graduated from Gower High School in 1932. She graduated from Missouri Methodist School of Nursing in 1936. Alice did private duty nursing in the area until marrying Charles G. Kline in October 1941. They made their home in rural Agency where they farmed.
She was a longtime member of the Frazier Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School and vacation Bible School for many years. She was also involved in women’s ministry during those years.
Alice was very active in 4-H, first as a member and then as a leader. She was an active member of the #5 Extension Club for over 60 years. She was always active in her children’s school activities including PTA, room mothers, and as a nurse. After her children were older she worked as a nurse at the Gower Convalescent Center and later became an omnibudsman. In the community she helped with many health and family needs.
Alice was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother, Henry Kelsey, daughter, Mary Alice Budine, and great-grandson, Preston Budine.
She is survived by son, Charles and Sara Kline, son, John and Vicki Kline, daughter, Susy and Stan Jaggars, all of Agency, MO, son, Jim and Judy Kline of Lampasas, TX, son, Wayne and Leanna Kline of Gower, MO, daughter, Jeanie and Greg Goodman of Trimble, MO, and daughter, Nancy and Jerry Rodgers of Cameron, MO; thirteen grandchildren, Barb, Carol, Gale, Dale, Sandra, Beth Ann, Jonathan, DeWayne, Steven, Dereck, Travis, Alison, and Theron; fifteen great-grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; six step-great grandchildren; seven step-great-great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Mary Ann Kelsey and Betty Prescher, numerous nieces, nephews, friends, and neighbors.
Funeral Services: 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 3rd at Frazier Baptist Church, Frazier
Burial: Agency Cemetery, Agency, MO
Visitation: 6:00-9:00 p.m. Friday at the church
In lieu of flowers the family suggest contributions to the Frazier Baptist Church.
