Alan Coy Kennedy

Alan Coy Kennedy, 72, of Plattsburg, MO passed away Tuesday, April 29, 2014.

He was born on November 30, 1941 to Coy Quentin and Josie Leona (Anderson) Kennedy in Kansas City, MO.  Alan grew up in Plattsburg and graduated from Plattsburg High School where he was active in sports and was the captain of the football team his senior year. 

On June 15, 1983 he was united in marriage to Leona Stephenson.  After their marriage they lived in Plattsburg where they made their home.  They enjoyed traveling and were avid golfers and gold hunters in the Arizona Mountains.

Alan was the owner/operator of Kennedy Drywall until his retirement.  He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Plattsburg.  Alan was also a member of the Plattsburg Country Club and the Lost Dutchman Mining Association.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Judy Mick and son Brad Kennedy.

Alan is survived by his wife Leona; children Rhonda Lehnen and Shonda Stebleton and husband Scott, and Christina Moore and husband John; grandchildren, Derrick, Bryce, Cheznee, Nicholas, Vincent, Anderew, Brian, Kallie, Austin and Joshua; great-grandchildren, Kolby and Conner; sister Carol Schaffer and husband Larry; brothers, Roger Kennedy and wife Judy, Bruce Kennedy and wife Kathy, Darrell Kennedy and wife Donna; aunt Louise Grady; numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.
