Al Springs
Alfred Landon Springs, Jr, 83, of Camden Point, MO passed away, July 3, 2025.
He was born on June 27, 1942 to Alfred Flandon and Leola (Graham) Springs in Oregon, MO. Al grew up in Platte County and graduated from North Platte High School. He then served his country in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War.
Al lived most of his life in the Camden Point and Dearborn area. He was married to Deanna and she preceded him in death in 1995.
He worked for Quaker Oats for over 30 years and was a part time farmer. He was an avid sports fan. Al enjoyed coaching, weightlifting, taking pictures, and gardening.
He was also preceded in death by his parents, his daughter, Barbara Gail Springs; and stepsister, Glenna Knapp.
Al is survived by his children, Valerie Jean (Tim) Main, Darrell Springs, and Wayne (Yukini) Springs; their mother, Ruby Springs; grandchildren, Bobbie, Jody, Shelbi, Zac, and Lana; six great-grandchildren; brothers, Larry Springs and Kenny (Bernie) Springs; sister, Beverly; several nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Funeral Services: 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 8th at Hixson-Klein Funeral Home in Gower with visitation at 2:00 p.m. prior to the service.
Burial: Cowgill Cemetery, Cowgill, MO.
