Eldon and Mary Hixson, founders of Hixson Funeral Home, were very well respected by the community.
Our Commitment Over the Years
1960-1977
Eldon and Mary Hixson, founders of Hixson Funeral Home, owned and operated the funeral home in Gower and Edgerton, Missouri from 1960 to 1977.
1977 – 1982
In 1977, Jack and Shari Klein purchased the funeral homes. In 1982, their name was added to the business, forming Hixson-Klein Funeral Home. The Klein’s will always consider the Hixson’s as part of their family.
1998 – Present
The Klein’s sons, Casey and Corey, received their Embalmer’s and Funeral Directors Licenses and joined their parents in 1998, and their daughter, Christa Musser started in 1999. In January of 2000, the chapel in Smithville was opened. Corey’s wife, Mandy joined the business in 2001. Other employees include LeRoy and Margaret Fales and Mike and Wendy Shipley.
